Its good to be the "controller of your own destiny"... and not have to worry about what the teams in your division does as long as you "take care of business" on the field... but of course that's not always the case. So I'm looking at the remaining opponents, and I thing we might just have the smoothest course...

Carolina's remaining opponents:
Tampa Bay -
St. Louis -
at Washington
at Philadelphia
NY Giants
Pittsburgh
at Atlanta
at New Orleans

Atlanta's remaining opponents:
Cleveland
at Baltimore
New Orleans
at Washington
at Tampa Bay
Dallas
Carolina
at Philadelphia

Saints' remaining opponents:
at Pittsburgh
Cincinnati
at Atlanta
San Francisco
at Dallas
Washington
at NY Giants
Carolina

None of our games will be "easy", but we are playing the best ball of all the teams in the division, and their schedules are brutal.

I stated several weeks ago the "brutal" part of the schedule would be past when Carolina's and Atlanta's began. That is going to work very favorably for us.

Carolina
Tampa - the Bucs may just sneak up on them
St. Louis - 50/50
Washington - they should beat Washington
Philly - they should beat the Eagles
Giants - Eli and Tiki are going to school Carolina
Pittsburgh - depends on which Steeler team shows up
Atlanta - the Falcons will be fighting for their lives...Atlanta wins
Saints - will cover in a second

Atlanta
Cleveland - Falcons win this one
Baltimore - Vick watches most of the game out of one earhole
Saints - New Orleans proves the MNF was no fluke
Washington - Redskins rebound after Carolina loss
Tampa - Falcons win
Dallas - Dallas wins
Carolina - Panthers win
Philly - Eagles win at home

Saints
Pittsburgh - Saints win
Cincy - Saints win
Atlanta - Saints win
San Fran - Saints win
Dallas - Saints win
Washington - Saints look to next week and Washington sneaks up on them
Giants - Saints regroup and win huge game
Carolina - Saints can taste homefield and avenge their earlier loss

I like your Saints' picks, but I honestly had them losing two in the second half of the season - I hope I'm wrong and they run the table, but that might be asking a bit too much.

The 2 games I saw as the biggest problems were the ATL game, only because it's in ATL, and we have a history of playing close games with them. I really don't believe they are the better team right now, but I saw this as a place in the Schedule where there might be a loss. I.E. letdown.

The second was the Giants game, but that was before all of their injuries started cropping up: Toomer, Strahan, Sam Madison, Obe, etc.

I'll re-evaluate that pick in a few weeks when I see how the NYG's handle these next 4-5 games.

I can see us running the table the way the stars have been falling into alignment for us lately, but that's being just a little too optimistic. :youpi-12:

How can you say the game in Atlanta might be a "letdown" game? Thats the game for the division championship probally. If the Saints have a let down in that game, then I been dreaming the whole season.

Am i reading this right or do you have in week 16 Atlanta/Carolina Both teams winning?

It was hard, but I don't see them running the table this second half. That's just highly improbable.

If I had to pick any team where I thought emotion could swing it the other way, it would be ATL, especially after what happened in the Dome, and if they're fighting for a playoff spot, which they will be.

I hope I'm wrong. I think we have the better club, but if it's going to happen, I see it here.

Of course, 3 weeks is a long time in football life. I'll see what we do against Pitt and Cincy over the next two weeks, and if I see us on a serious roll of confidence when we go to Hotlanta TG weekend, I'll adjust my pick - I hope I have to.
