Loomis’s inability (1 Viewer)

FWIW, not that Max needs his credibility confirmed, but Underhill has said the same things. DA thought that Hendrickson was just an effort guy and didn't have the skills to consistently get sacks.

It really makes me wonder how much of our recent trouble in the draft was due to DA wanting the wrong guys at positions other than DB.

Yup, this makes perfect sense to me....I also thought long ago the reason CSP left was....indeed....ML.....not saying it's definitely true but REBELMAX seems to support that notion....

It’s true. One day when Sean writes that book we will all be able to read about it. I can’t wait.

Too much smoke. Just like when it got out that Sean was probably gone, any of us who believed it were chastised, ridiculed made fun of etc, by the tribe. It’s just a RUMOR they all said….link link? Proof? lol

I wish I could have enjoyed how wrong those folks were but I’m still sad that Sean was indeed gone, would rather have been wrong.

Man I know you want Loomis fired but…what is the goal here? It’s not like if you get everyone on your side he’s going to actually suddenly get fired. 😂
Im only doing what the people that will defend Loomis trusting in DAs pursuit of Desean Watson do. Giving him a chance cause blind faith is all we need.

Blind faith or merely accepting that which we have no control over rather than living every day angry about it?

I know we aren’t perfect, but I also know the powers that be have the team’s best interests at heart and simply played their hand wrong.

Why be angry about it when I can devote my time to being optimistic, figuring out how the team can get out of the mess within the parameters presented instead of screaming to the hills every day about who should be fired, as if that’s going to actually make it happen?

From this negative Nancy, well said, pumper.

Just kidding, lol. 😊

Nothing at all wrong with being optimistic. And hopefully not too many folks get bent out of shape over a game where grown men throw a football around for millions of dollars. 😂

Not too many fans that is, like us. Who have zero control. It’s a business for those involved and much money on the line, so I get it if they get bent out of shape from time to time.

Angry? Thats where you get it wrong. I am here for entertainment. I only get angry when people try to misrepresent me or try to belittle me for having a different opinion than them. The Saints keep Loomis? Geaux Saints! The Saints Fire Loomis? Geaux Saints! The Saints hire Mike Ditka? GEAUX Saints! The Saints suck again? Im watching every minute of it, why? Because Geaux Saints!

Ive literally stayed out of 90% of the Loomis bashing this offseason because most of it is just arse pulls. Today I have to work and its a slow arse day... so its entertainment time.

What is this work you speak of? Lol been retired since I was 40…I barely remember the word now.

Join retirement, they’re all slow arse days. 😂

Mick is part of the problem; I just hope Gayle recognizes this. His answer is to accumulate a bunch of failed former GMs instead of hiring an up-and-coming lieutenant from a top-notch organization. Mick's ego is a huge issue, and this idea that he's going to right the ship is delusional.

Who do you want the new GM to be?

Well he’s not going anywhere, so what is there to do? Complain about it forever or at least the last remaining years of his tenure and call people delusional/get mad at anyone that doesn’t see things through your lenses?

Not saying you don’t have a right to feel that way about the guy, I am just saying how are these conversations productive for you, personally?

Look at the top organizations over the 5 years and grab one of their top lieutenants. That's what Washington did with Peters; he was with the Niners. it's not a guarantee, but that is what serious organizations do. That said, Mick is too stubborn to bring fresh new eyes in.

I know; I didn't start this thread. Personally, this is just a fan site, it has minimal impact on my life. I would prefer to see people in my hometown wearing Saints gear like the good old days, but times change. I see more people wearing LSU stuff when I go home than Saints gear, that's the reality.

I mean, what turned Washington around is drafting JD5 and then Quinn brought in a bunch of vets he liked to build a better team culture. I'm not sure the GM had a lot to do with that other than drafting JD5 which I thought was a no brainer since I thought he was by far the best QB in that draft.

Anway, I want Loomis to move on and I want a new young GM, but the truth is that even if you go get a guy from one of the top organizations for the last 5 or 10 years, there is still no guarantee that he's going to be any good, much less better than Loomis. He'll certainly be different, but maybe not better.
