“That happens every year for a variety of reasons,” Loomis said, referring to coaches pulling out of searches. “And so I don’t want to speak to any specific one, but sometimes candidates pull out because they aren’t candidates. Right? Sometimes it’s the old, ‘You’re fired.' 'Well, you can’t fire me. I quit.’ And then sometimes they have another job in mind that they feel pretty confident about.

Shots fired lol. Can't help but think that was a subtle jab at McCarthy

I'm so glad this site is back to being BashLoomisReport.com. I was really getting tired of actually talking about football with talk of offensive schemes, defensive schemes, what players fit the scheme, players in the draft, etc. I'm glad we can get back to acting like mean girls which is what this site is about afterall.

We even got a gratuitous out of context keep chopping wood reference. I really missed reading those in every other post because they were so funny.

I want a new GM too, but Loomis isn't going anywhere for at least a few years. Can we talk about football in the interim?

If the shoe fits.

Not buying that at all Loomis.

Candidates pulled out because our cap situation and roster construction.... basically because of you Mickey.
Exactly. McCarthy and Johnson weren’t interested because the team is still way over the cap, has an expensive vet QB who won’t take a pay cut, with a roster loaded with old, expensive, and oft injured players. Honestly I would’ve passed too. Apparently Moore felt up for the challenge.

Johnson didn't want the job because of our QB situation and roster. Especially compared to the Bears. McCarty wanted the job but he was just the fallback position to Moore. Mickey wouldn't even schedule and interview with him.

You really getting upset about Mickey getting called out for his BS. I think that’s a little more confusing than the actual calling out part. But hey, you know what they say about opinions.

Lol. How is me making fun of this getting upset? If you are upset at my reference to your keep chopping wood post, let me know and I will edit the post to delete the reference.

It's awful. Same people, complaining and complaining and complaining, as if that's going to do something, then get mad when you yourself aren't joining in on the complaining.

"Mean girls" indeed.
