Loomis opens up a bit more about Coaches pulling out of search (15 Viewers)

I get that a lot of saints fans can’t stand ML. But he’s not wrong here and pretty much saying the most he can without calling people out by name.

Maybe Vrabel and Glenn were top candidates. But I’m guessing anyone else who “pulled out” was never clearly ahead of Moore.
I think Moore's (perceived)value got inflated due to the Eagles Super Bowl run (which is normal). Johnson, Glenn, and Vrabel were the top names when the hiring cycle began, and no one was really talking about Moore. I don't believe the majority of what Mick says.

It’s more that most of us are tired of seeing so many threads taken up by the same nonsense.

It’s like having a friend who ends every discussion with “what does it matter? We’re all gonna die anyway.”

Maybe some of us want to talk about life.
I agree 100%. There can't be a discussion about nearly any topic without "who cares, Carr sucks and Loomis is terrible". Maybe we need to have a thread were everyone puts themselves as Anti-Carr or Anti-Loomis and then we can look back at that thread if we need to know how you feel. Otherwise, we can't maybe not mention how they both suck in EVERY thread. Or give constructive thoughts. Some people on here can express their dissenting opinion with respect but most just go with "Carr suck, Carr go away".

Carr is our QB. Let's support the man. Loomis isn't going anywhere for a few years. Maybe wait until 2026 to tell us how much he needs to go.

Sorry, just had to vent.

Agreed.

It's worth noting every offense Moore coordinated that was top 10 was already top 10 before he got there.

Now i'm still a fan of the hire and am looking forward to the future but he's getting a bit inflated.

I'm waiting for results to look past before chiming in.. I was coddled with the idea of getting to flexibility by 2027... so until we see what they actually do this off season.... Loomis has Kellen Armor on. No point in banging your heads against the window of the short bus just sit tight and see where this ride goes.

At the same point, Johnson's value got inflated due to Detroit's record the last two years so I don't think you can ding Moore for essentially the same thing. If Moore had done this with the Eagles last year, he would have been neck and neck with Johnson during this cycle.

And it's not just Mickey saying these things. Underhill is saying this is what happened.

Saints dodged a big plumbing bill.

We will still have flexibility in 2027 no matter what happens with Carr. We just won't likely have it in 2026 which is what many, including me, wanted. That is unless Mickey does something really dumb. But, I too am going to sit tight and see how all this works out.

I was mainly referring to when the cycle began. Johnson was hot last year but declined to take an HC job, so those three were viewed as the unofficial favorites this year. The OC s & DCs of the top teams are always the hottest candidates, so it's no surprise that his name, like Brady, was a part of the discussion. I've said before we hired anyone that Mick was going to spin it as though that guy was our top choice all along. Everyone knows how I feel about Mick, so I'll leave it there. KM has a clean slate, but I find the Carr commitment concerning for our long term.
