From what I gather, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and a currently unnamed football player drove to Scotlandville. One of these two allegedly shot the buyer. They then called 911, were questioned by police and then released. Those are all the facts that have been released.
The rumor is that they went to sell a PS4 that was posted on Craigslist. The buyer got into the backseat of the truck to make the transaction and then pulled a toy gun, BB gun, pellet pistol, etc and attempted to make off with the device (and possibly anything else of value) without paying for it. One of the two players is believed to have fired 2 shots into the buyer as a result of pulling his (fake) firearm.
