LSU-OU who to watch for the upcoming draft (1 Viewer)

I honestly wouldn't mind selecting all our players from that game.
You could go
OSU Laurinaitis
LSU Highsmith
LSU Jackson
OSU Barton
LSU Hester
LSU Arnold
LSU Zenon
That would be a good draft.

I'm obligated to call you a homer.

Not bad, and the picks aren't reaches anywhere. All the good teams have LSU players on them.

BTW, I'm a homer and proud of it.

What about Steltz? Not the fastest, but a great tackler with a nose for the ball. He's like a white Sammy Knight! :hihi:

I'll move Steltz to middle linebacker... This game will have a lot of NFL players coming in April.

I love Steltz as a Tiger, but I thought about it and I don't really want him a Saint.

I think he may be a little overrated. He's not that, quick, hasn't got much of a burst and if he is beat he cannot really catch up. I think he will probably be off the board by our 3rd rounder, and he really isn't worth a second if Ali or Michigan's Crable is there to address OLB, which is far more of a need than SS. I think he could make a good NFL LB, but if he was going to be gone by the 3rd, you wouldn't want to spend your early second on a player you don't really need with a view to convert him to a position that he probably won't succeed at, when you could just draft a LB instead of seeing if he would pan out there.

I love watching Ali Highsmith, but I wouldn't pick him unless I had either A) a very fast LB who covered sideline to sideline, or B) a 3-4 defense. He's too slow to be a top NFL MLB. He got ate up by that Arkansas FB Hillis in coverage. I would seriously look to Chevis Jackson in the later rounds. Zenon seemed to give up more big plays, but Chevis was usually on his man. He's 6', not huge but big. He's not a big turnover machine, but he plays the ball well (just doesn't always catch it). The main positive is he doesn't get pushed around the by the WR.

Trey Helms is only a Freshman, but I will be watching him. Herman Johnson should be added to that list too. 6-7 356lb OL.

Gholston will prove tonight why he will be a top 10 pick.

I am an LSU fan, but I can see him getting 3 sacks. He manhandled Jake Long of Michigan, what do you think that he will do with LSU's tackles- LOL

Highsmith doesn't play Mike, he plays Will. I was telling someone the other day that I wouldn't be that surprised if he's turned into a safety at some point. His build is really slight in person, only reason I knew it was him was the beard. He can only play Will in the league, I don't believe he can take on blockers that well, but he's very fast. So that part of your post...eh...I don't agree that much.

Chevis is like McKenzie. I'd take him in a second. Zenon plays soft. He's the guy that's always there for the tackle, and sometimes guesses right on the underneath stuff. Chevis is glued on his man all over the field.

The guy to watch is Gholston. If he's matched up with Carnell Stewart (which I'd imagine he would be for most of the night) then goodnight! I'm rooting for our tackles, but Stewart's pretty weak, and Ciron Black's not that much better. Gholston is the perfect OLB for a 3-4 D. Reminds me a lot of DeMarcus Ware.
