INDIANAPOLIS -- The LSU Tigers are planning an aerial assault on the NFL draft.
Quarterback JaMarcus Russell is projected as the likely No. 1 overall pick. Soon after, two of his favorite targets are expected to be picked.
Receiver Dwayne Bowe is projected as a first-round pick, and receiver Craig Davis is expected to go in Round 2.
Bowe and Davis are part of a star-studded receiver class that also includes Georgia Tech's Calvin Johnson, Southern Cal's Dwayne Jarrett, Ohio State's Ted Ginn Jr. and Tennessee's Robert Meachem.
Bowe, who measured in at 6-feet-2 1/2, 221 pounds at the NFL scouting combine Friday, said he hopes his size will help separate him from the field.
