I’m guessing Loomis and Payton will be at the event today. 9 Tigers will be working out today. Any possible future Saints?

In before the "They never draft LSU players" post. Love these superforum traditions. If the Saints ever draft an LSU safety, that would be iconoclastic.

Well, it is a bit odd that we don’t draft LSU players and a good bunch of them have done pretty well in the NFL, but we somehow manage to load up on Ohio State players. Things that make you go HMMMMMMM....?!?!

Terrace Marshall Jr. has a good chance to be a Saint (1st round).... And JaCoby Stevens has a chance too (2nd round)

SP didn’t select Devery and Clapp isn’t one of the many studs that LSU has put out since SP’s tenure. Look, I get it, not every Saints fan is an LSU fan, and those of you who are not, don’t care or see anything odd about it. However, those of us who are LSU fans notice a trend. SP/Loomis loves to target players and they are not shy about moving up to select their guys. But to think that certain LSU players are not worth it, that’s just bulljive. Now, watch this be the year they actually select one😂

JaCoby Stevens is looking like a Day 3 pick at this point. Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s a talented football player, but he’s a tweener... a little big and stiff for a true SS, and a bit too small and slight for a pure LB. His 40 time and speed measurements will be big for his stock.

We'll see how he runs... but yeah I can see him being a 3rd rounder should his 40 time and 3 cone be slower than expected... That said, the Saints are big on "hybrid-type" Safeties and LBs... So he's a possibility IMO.

Henderson was a Jim Haslett-era selection, in 2004. Forgivable to forget that, though, as it took him a few years to be effective.

They may not be studs but the Saints, under Sean Payton drafted Will Clap and Al Woods from LSU. Saints haven’t had a lot of high draft picks to draft studs from anywhere after bounty gate fiasco took away a first and two second rounders. We got a lot of picks this year and I’m stoked to see what happens.

It's not like the saints can just chose to select all LSU players and haven't done so.

For the saints to select a LSU player he needs to be the best player available at their pick in their opinion. Sometimes, they can be even be searching for a specific position, so even if there is an LSU players as the best available it might be of a position they just don't want, maybe they even drafted another player of the same position earlier in the draft and don't want to double down.

So, before thinking the saints have something about drafting LSU player people should show situations where an LSU player was absolutely the best choice and the saints just ignored him.
