Marcus Peters fined for unnecessary roughness against TQS. (1 Viewer)

Bullied how? They are union. They aren't doing anything they don't want to do.

And who is this whistle-blower that has that much power?

I’m not a conspiracy guy but it has crossed my mind that this may have nothing to do with the league but the officials who don’t like the way they were called out about the NFC Champ game missed call... just a thought

Mike Curello, NFL Director of Football Administration

I guess you all forgot that Mike Cuerello the Bountygate Whistleblower and ex Saint (disgruntled) employee now works in the league office.

Nailed it.

Facts like this are all too often overlooked. A person that had to be escorted out of the Airline Hwy facility by security and has an undeniable vendetta against the Saints is somehow in a position of power over the Saints. Sports reporters in general are too lazy to look into or comment on the impact of this, they are too biased in favor of the teams for which they root to believe fans of other teams are doing anything other than whining, and the reporters' employers are too financially aligned with the league's prosperity to say anything that may tarnish the shield (and in the case of ESPN much more interested in their world view of social justice than legitimate reporting).

I remember when I kept saying that TQS has no “dog” in him and some blasted me for it. TQS did absolutely nothing to defend himself during that altercation with Peters. Sorry, but if a player rips your helmet off, gives you a right hook to the chin, then you better at least go at him (at minimum). I guarantee you Peters is not stupid enough to try that with MT. Why???? Bc MT has some “dog” in him. Can’t let that Rams team push us around like that. It only gives them more confidence and the green light to play outside the rules.

Not sure about the new rule change for 2019. Could Payton have challenged that, or is it only for PI?

From what I saw, Tre'Quan dogged Peters so much that Peters lost his head and did something stupid that should have hurt his team.

Explain bc I clearly did not see any of what you are talking about. When I was watching the game, I did not see TQS defend himself after that play. I also see these types of things happen in many games and players at least get face to face, causing a scrum. Look, I welcome players that carry themselves like TQS. Calm/professional, but if a player rips your helmet off and checks your chin, then you let that fool know that you will not take it. If not, you welcome it every single time.

I don't see an issue with the league handing down a fine for something that wasn't flagged during the game. When that happens (almost every week) they are also pointing a finger at the officials letting them know it should have been flagged. You can also assume that official received a bad grade for the game and lowered their chance to officiate during the post season. Unfortunately the CBA with the Refs Union prohibits the NFL from announcing any grades or fines officials receive. The NFL can fire an official for repeated poor performance though it is rare, It did happen last year though.

After the fact.....pretty much the equivalent of rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Perfect for the NFL - the Rams are still undefeated and Goodell gets to look tough enforcing rules. Peters should have been ejected but since it was against the Saints, it’s ok. The Refs are doing a fine job of punishing the Saints for not letting the no call go and pointing out their incompetence. Between the Refs and Brees’ injury this looking like another lost season. Screw the NFL......hard.

And it wasn't even called.

Crazy.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, by any means...but the fact that we were victims of game changing calls against us in 3 consecutive games makes me feel like we are fighting against an entity that does not want us to succeed.
