Hey no problem. Thank you for respecting my opinion. I will respect yours.

Now go Vote!!!!! :hihi:

Now to be honest, I am a former Social Studies teacher, so I feel very strongly about fulfilling our civic duties. I would stress to my students to know their rights and be aware of other things going on in the world. So it is kind of en-grained in me to tell people to vote, and to get off your cell phone!! :9:

ahh that makes a lot of sense!

i rarely vote because i am usually not “informed.” i admit my fault in only caring about issues which affect me, but i am selfish that way. i am a poster child for why marijuana should be legal. i have bipolar depression, adult adhd, and social anxiety. i take a lot of pills, yet when i was able to smoke freely, i was as “normal” as i can be. instead, now i see a psychiatrist biweekly and a therapist weekly. i hate life, hate social interaction, and i avoid everyone. i drink a lot to escape “being me” and all it really does is add to the depression. yet that is socially acceptable, but marijuana is not. this is why i am bitter.

Go back to smoking weed even though it's illegal. Or move to one of the states where it is legal.

Also, that's exactly the reason you should be informed and voting. I know a lot of people believe that what happens in Washington doesn't effect them. I used to believe that myself. But there is so much going on and decisions being made that effect all of us a lot. People just don't realize it because they're not informed. This is one of those issues, but there are many more.

Maybe ole Sessions is doing us a solid...

http://www.thecannabist.co/2018/01/12/congress-protect-marijuana-mcclintock-polis/96679/

Members of Congress have proposed a spending bill amendment that would ensure protections for states that have legalized marijuana.

Nearly 70 U.S. representatives signed onto a letter sent Friday to U.S. House of Representatives leadership asking for the inclusion of the provision, known as the McClintock-Polis Amendment, that ensures U.S. Department of Justice funds cannot be used to interfere with states that have authorized some form of marijuana legalization.

The McClintock-Polis Amendment has taken on a new level of urgency in the wake of U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ Jan. 4 memo rescinding Obama-era guidance on marijuana enforcement, Rep. Jared Polis, D-Colo., told The Cannabist.

They need to change the listing of weed as a Schedule 1narcotic through law since the DEA won't do it.

This is beyond stupid.

This times a billion. Sessions is nice to have as a punching bag. The real problem is members of congress. They are the ones who make the
laws we live by.

One of the reasons drugs are listed as schedule 1 is they lack medicinal value. There are too many case studies out there that prove this wrong.

It's another debate, but LSD and Mushrooms show promise in treating migraine and cluster headaches.

i agree about the smoking. unfortunately, my brain is so haywire, it does not matter for voting. i would probably end up voting for the person that makes weed legal at the cost of our souls. i focus on one thing and ignore anything outside of my tunnel vision.

Where was the legalize it and dont tax it option? Taxation is theft.

i am okay with paying tax, especially if it means weed freedom. we pay taxes for worse.

construction of a US-Mexico border wall, which would cost as much as $18 billion.

Bound up in symbolism about the racial purity of the United States, the wall has been sold as a way to prevent both illegal immigration and the trafficking of drugs over the southern border. But the actual solution to securing the border against drug smuggling may be simpler and cheaper than Trump realizes: Rather than stop the flow, why not just grow the drugs here?

In a paper published late last year in The Economic Journal, economists Evelina Gavrilova and Floris Zoutman and sociologist Takuma Kamada found that the creation of a domestic marijuana industry—in the form of legal markets for medical marijuana—led to a 12.5% reduction in violent crime in US states bordering Mexico
