I am playing him this week ... because H ward is out .... he should put up some good #'s against the Det def line... the only prob is C Dillan takes the goal line snaps....

There are probrably better plays out there but Maroney is a good back. I have him in a couple leagues and haven't played him yet. He is a decent backup with big potential if Dillon goes down.

Maroney is in a time share with Corey Dillon, with Dillon getting most of the goal line work -he's emerging as the receiving back and also returns kicks. I'm playing him this week in 1 of my leagues mainly cuz my 2nd back Ronnie Brown is out and though I picked up Sammie Morris I'm not thrilled with his matchup against Jacksonville but like NE's matchup against the Lions - so he shoud get good yardage and a few passes with upside to a receiving, rushing and/or return TD.
