Match Up Problems against the chiefs (1 Viewer)

KC is a good team. Strong running game, solid at QB and they play quality defense. One of the overlooked faucets of their team is the play of their special teams. That kick returner they have is dangerous. I expect them to be in good field position all day.

In addition, they are a very good home team (they have won their last 8 home games) and we are not a good road team. Alex Smith is a very good intermediate passer and we struggle covering RBs and TEs (really the middle of the field). They do not beat themselves and at this point we need help to win against good teams.

We have to outscore opponents to win and will struggle against teams that can slow our offense and\or on the road. This will be a difficult game.

Everyone says the Chiefs will be a hard team to beat blah blah. Tell me folks, what do they got on us? We have a solid oline, solid dline, and great players at skill positions. we are going to carve them up. slice and dice them. Alex Smith's eyes are going to be big. We are going to taranchala them. Lets' go Saints.

This is a tough game for us. 8 straight wins at home for them, Legit defense, power running game.

My biggest concern is KC having already intercepted 9 passes.

I can easily see Drew throwing a trifecta of interceptions in this game. If he can keep that number to 0, then we pull off the upset.

We do not match up very well with the Chiefs overall, but I do think that we can cover the spread with a small chance that we actually win the game.

Sorry but I just don't share in the enthusiasm. Their venue is a very tough place to play and the chiefs defense is pretty good. They lead the league in INTs. The tough venue and a good D usually gives the Saints trouble. Their O does not jump out at you but the Saints still have to many injuries in the D Backfield. Although if the Saints can make them one dimensional, they could pressure Smith and get some sacks. In the Dome, I would like the Saints, but at KC not so much. But I do hope they pull it out.

not sure I agree about the Dline...

Cam and Fairley have looked pretty good. Tyeler Davison looks solid.

My hope is that our pass rush shows up for a 3rd week in a row and leads to a surprisingly decent defensive showing. And that's all this team needs for a convincing win. We'll see.

Marcus Peters is the matchup we have to watch out for. Not only their top corner, he leads the entire league in interceptions with 5 already which is insane. I'm expecting a big game from Snead and Thomas with Peters on Cooks.

I had us taking him in my mock draft 2 years ago. I'm still kind of upset about it.

All valid points, but I'm taking the meathead football fan approach. We went into Arrowhead and beat them 30-20 back in 2008 - same tough venue and we were a bad team then as well.

They are a game better than us at 3-2 and while I understand that they have a better D, it seems like we play better D on the road this season than at home.
My concern is our offense - we are a TD worse on the road than at home.

Meathead Paul says we win in a close game.

I hope Peters spends most of the game covering Cooks. They've faced off before. And it was an even matchup, but Cooks was able to get by him more than a few times.
I was going to say, didn't they play in college against each other?
