After watching practice this week at the Senior Bowl in Mobile there is some talent in this class on both sides of the ball. Here are five players stood out from my perspective on the field—along with others who consistently showed up in my notes.

Cameron Jordan, DL, Cal: He’s explosive off of the line of scrimmage and unlike Miami’s Allen Bailey (a straight line pass rusher), Jordan had enough counter moves in his game to consistently win at the point of attack. Everyday when I watched one-on-ones and team drills, Jordan stood out. He can penetrate the offensive line and I see him as a DE that can align outside in a 4-3 front or as a 5 technique in a 3-4 scheme. As one scout said this week, there is always a player down in Mobile who punches that cash register. This week—it was Jordan. The D-Lineman from Cal made himself some money at the Senior Bowl.

Mike Detillier was real high on this guy and had the Saints picking him @ 24... looks like he is inching his way down the board.

I was high on Cam Jordan, Von Miller as well as Akeem Ayers but it seems the way it's going that both Cam and Von Miller will be long gone before we pick.

Cam Jordan and V. Miller showed the best out of this week at practices and will be top ten picks in the draft.

The deal was that before some scouts were not sure if Jordan was 1st round talent. All this means is that he has probably solidify himself as a 1st round choice.

What's the matter with these young men? Don't they realize they're jeopardizing their chance to play with a contender by standing out at these things and becoming a top 10 pick? Why garauntee yourself a spot with a horrible team like Detroit, Oakland, or St. Luois?

/sarcasm off

It would be awfully nice if he does last to #24 because he looks like the real deal. Having a legitimate threat at LDE would solve a lot of problems for us.

No doubt, Von Miller and Cam Jordan are hot commodities right now
Maybe top 10 when it's all said and done (?)

Von Miller (9) Dallas (11) Houston
Cam Jordan (7) San Fran (10) Washington

Can't wait for this game. Im hoping for K. Hunter to have a big game on O. even-though,
I always root for the South team. haha

I'm prepared. Watt and Jordan are un-likely to be there @ 24 and Paea was injured at that Senior bowl and is un-going surgery. So who knows how it will play out(?) My Defensive wish list of V. Miller, C. Jordan, Watt, and Paea chances are falling by the way-side. Kerrigan Im not sold on as a LDE in a 4/3. Bailey seems limited. Clayborn played with two other NFL caliber players @ Iowa; is that a good thing or a bad thing? Aldon Smith is long and rangy, makes a lot of plays 3/4 team or 4/3 (either?). Cam Hayward, is he 3/4 or 4/3 and does he have a motor? Everyone knows he has the talent and bloodlines.

This does suck but if you put it in perspective, no team picking in the lower part of the 1st round is going to get these guys who are "splashing" now, at the combine or personal workouts... We're relegated to the "solid guy that had a productive college career".

That doesn't mean that he won't be really good, just means that as long as you're winning, you don't get a shot at the guys that get the hype during workouts... What sucks is that's the guys you get all excited about in the offseason..... LOL

What about Marvin Austin? I don't care that he took money from an agent. Does anyone else think he might be a steal in round 2?

Played well in the Shrine game and recovered fumble in end zone during the 4th Q to pretty much seal the game. Many say he has 1st round talent, so it is possible that he could be a steal for someone if he drops to the 2nd round or lower.

I hear ya! Kinda strange no one is talking about him. I think he goes in the 1st round before it's all said and done.

They're hot now, until the combine and pro day work outs where the Juniors and other Underclassmen of the draft can shine. Remember, this is just seniors. So, don't give up hope yet.
