Matt Miller: " I'm told Brandin Cooks is the driving force behind trade talks. Wants out of #SAINTS offense." (1 Viewer)

What a little *****. He will never have a better situation than he has right now. A coach who can get him in matchups he can win, and a QB who can drop dimes all season long for him.

I posted this yesterday to my friend's facebook page, its stupid for the saints to even discuss trading Cooks, but it would have to be Cooks himself behind it because he sees the writing on the wall(Michael Thomas) and the saints are know not to keep people on the team who don't wanna be here. Bye Cooks, Hello Alshon Jefferys.

i want to see all the stories change from the people that posted yesterday. Like I said yesterday....we'll be just fine without him.

We only need a decoy who can occupy a DB long enough to let MT run his route.

For me, it begs the question . . . why?

Where else do you think is going to be better to showcase your talents? Or is it just SO BAD here you have to get out?

If he really does want out, then he won't resign with the Saints, but the Saints could have him for 3 more years with the 5th year option. We still need to re-sign Snead, so I wouldn't be happy with trading him this year. If we can get another receiver in the draft or in free agency that looks like he can step in after this year, then I think trading Cooks next year is okay. At that point we could settle for a 2nd next year, but at least we would not be creating a big need with the new receiver in the fold.

I think people (not Cooks) underestimate just how good Thomas is going to be. You think Cooks complained last year? Wait until next season when Thomas is owning DB's and getting the lion's share of the balls. Cooks has seen the writing on the wall.......MT is better.....way better.

Darn it. I just bought his jersey about a year ago. I'm going to stop buying Saints jerseys because it seems like the players I invest in end up getting traded while in their prime (Sproles, Graham, Cooks). It's T-shirts and hats for this guy going forward.

YES.

He needs to take to Jimmy Graham. Then when he's done, he needs to talk to Jimmy Graham again.

When Graham was with the Saints the top TE in the league was Gronk/Graham. Since then, it's been Gronk.

I'm now being told that Matt Miller's skid marks are far too challenging for his mother's laundry skills, and new underwear will have to be purchased.

Don't let me stop a good Saints bashing (I realize it's a tradition at this point), but I'll bet most of you didn't even know who Matt Miller was until this thread. He's not connected to the Saints at all and is a BR writer (not that BR isn't better than it used to be). He's the original source of this speculation and we do not know if it's true or to what degree it's true. Is Cooks raving mad and wanting out? Maybe. Is he asking to be traded because we have no desire to re-sign him? Maybe. Do he and the Saints have a cordial understanding that they'll move him if the price is right and Cooks is supportive of that? Maybe. Is the report just false? Maybe.

Too much unknown at this point to go all in destroying Cooks over this tweet.

Good ol' Blogger Report....I'm being told that Matt Miller collects beanie babies and lives in his parent's basement.

Yeah, "I'm being told..."

Very hard to trust vague comments like this in this twitter age. Could be valid, but who knows? I'm skeptical and don't want to jump to any conclusions.

Not Jim Miller.
Not even Matt Millen.

Matt Miller.........

Matt Miller first said this early this morning.

He appears to be the original source of the charge. He's a BR writer so take it for what it is.

My first inclination was to dismiss this or take it with a grain of salt. But, it sure does put Willied Snead's comments from Instagram yesterday in a new light. Sure seems like Snead was talking about Cooks wanting out of the New Orleans offense. At first I assumed Snead meant he was going to stay. But maybe this adds some credibility to the Cooks wants out talk?
