NEW ORLEANS -- It had been a long time since Saints backup running back Fred McAfee had scored a touchdown. So long, in fact, that Drew Brees was a junior in high school when it happened.
McAfee, a 15-year veteran known mostly for his special teams play, ended that drought Sunday, running into the end zone from six yards out as time expired in the third quarter.
"Truly, that made my day," Brees said. "He is one of the best teammates I've ever had."
