[MERGED] Ingram pulled up..lost game (1 Viewer)

Here we go again… so you say excuse an absolute inexcusable play and blame it on not making the next play??? That is the most ridiculous logic! You must make the plays that are available cuz you don’t know when the next one will be and that play was not only available, it was GIVEN to him and he CHOSE not to take it.

So yea, that’s why that one hurts more then the other plays we didn’t make cuz those plays were actually defended well or we simply weren’t good enough to make.
No, you know what is ridiculous logic? Blaming a 2nd down play that gained 7 yards as a play that “lost us the game” when WE HAD A WHOLE OTHER DRIVE AFTERWARD.

A subsequent drive that netted us -7 yards and burned a whopping 31 seconds off the clock. The game could’ve been iced away on either of those next 3 offensive plays but nope. 0-for-3.

Even if Ingram gets that first down, Tampa Bay still has all 3 of their timeouts and can force the stop; I mean not like they needed them on offense anyway considering our defense bled out like a stuck pig, was that Ingram’s fault too or no?

They really didn’t even need them on defense to stop the clock either considering we seemed more than content stopping the clock for them by throwing two low percentage passes when literally taking a knee would’ve been better.

Yeah, 2 drives that burned a whole 2:04 off the clock and gained 2 net yards, bUt iT’s MaRk iNgRaM’s fAuLt!

Clown **** 😂

You can’t boil down missing the playoffs in a 9 loss season to one play. That one play was just one of the symptoms of the issues that resulted in 9 losses.

We were unfocused, at times undisciplined and more than anything, we were again decimated by injuries.

We had many chances and blew them. Ingrams run hurt but it wasn’t the reason we lost that game or the 8 other games we dropped.

So, going back and looking at the game recap, on 2nd and 8, Ingram grabbed a short pass from Dalton that ended up yielding 7 yrds, leaving the Saints with a 3rd and 1 on Tampa's 44 yard line with 6.11 minutes to go in the game, while Tampa still had 3 timeouts..

And you mean to tell me this is the play that prevented the Saints from winning the division and/or going to the playoffs?
