Michael Bush arrested (1 Viewer)

I was never high on bush anyway. I never really got what the hype was surrounding this guy in the first place.

Well 1 of 2 things

1. He has just become a cheaper option and a lower risk monetarily

or

2. He has just become the replacement for Cedric Benson.

He's big. Pretty much any back over 225, this board goes nuts over.

Maybe, but I think Bush also has some pretty good speed for his size. He has shown a pretty good nose for the endzone when given goalline chances. He has not really been used much in Oak. I am not sure if it is an Al thing or if we really never put it together int he pros'. Keep in mind that he had a pretty bad injury in college and never really recovered his first year. That might have slowed him down in development and speed. However for going into the draft and being a top of the 4th round pick says something about the hype in college.

I was one of those who thought Michael Bush might be a good fit here.....but if he's a problem child then pass. So unless he's willing to sign incredibly cheap he's just not good enough to be worth the trouble.

For those interested- I originally saw this on my local news that an NFL player was arrested. He went to Louisville which is extremely close to where he was pulled over. My question is where could he have been going or what was he up to to make him cross states.

This, he was AWESOME in college for one year, he was 230 pounds, running high 4.3's low 4.4s But he had his leg broken sophmore year, very severe, he needed a metal rod inserted in there to replace his shin. Was doubtful he would ever play contact football again, and was probably never gonna walk right. He manage to do both, but his draft stock took a major hit.

I think he is a pretty talented guy. I think he gets a bit overrated by some on this board, but he is a pretty good NFL player. He just never gets used in Oakland because Al Davis decided to turn the teams draft board upside down and draft McFadden one year when they had Vargas and Bush doing a pretty good job. Not to knock McFadden he is a great player and waranted that selection, and is better than them both. But Bush doesn't get carries because McFadden is better.

I like big, solid guys who are built to carry the load a 225+ too (see the sig :ezbill:) but I've never really cared for Bush.

The way he runs is too finesse for his size. There is nothing that i hate more than a guy that big who doesn't deliver punishment to defenders consistently enough.

It's funny, I almost posted this a couple days ago when the story first broke, but people were all over Haynesworth hitting a guy that probably deserved it, yet here is a player that many people on this board wanted including myself and he does something that is a hell of a lot worse and more dangerous than Haynesworth, but it takes a couple days to finally post it and comment on it.

Nobody knows all the facts yet about Bush, Albert is a proven jag--who also just yesterday was now accused of sexually assulting a women...

I think Bush would be a good fit in B&G, he is young with little wear, can catch and block well and runs between the tackles hard. We were also very interested in him coming out of college. Here is the latest on the DD story from Rotoworld:

The attorney for Michael Bush maintains the running back was not intoxicated at the time of his arrest last Saturday morning.
Bush blew a .11 at Clark County jail, but the lawyer claims his blood alcohol content was an under-the-limit .07 at the time of his arrest. If that's true, Bush would have a stronger than expected case as he fights the charge. Bush is scheduled to be back in court next week.
