After taking a day off, the New Orleans Saints reconvened for training camp practice on Wednesday, this time taking their reps indoors after making what they called a “football operations decision,” a move that rendered their practice closed to the public.
Still, the middle of the week found the reigning NFC South champions making some news in the form of a few notable players who did not join their teammates on the field.
Rookie defensive end Marcus Davenport, tight end Benjamin Watson, running back Shane Vereen, rookie defensive back Kamrin Moore, and reserve center Cameron Tom were held from practice on Wednesday, while newcomers Michael Floyd and Brandon Tate took the field right away. ...
