Wide receiver Michael Thomas finds himself heading into the season finale with a shot at breaking every major receiving record for a Saints rookie.

Thomas, who has 82 grabs, needs seven catches to break Reggie Bush's mark of 88 receptions; he needs 58 yards to break Marques Colston's mark of 1,038 yards; and one more touchdown gives him that mark as well.

And on a basic level, at 981 yards, Thomas needs just 19 yards – sometimes all of one catch's worth – to reach the magical 1,000-yard mark.

"It would definitely be a blessing to get a 1,000-yard receiver in my first year in the NFL," Thomas said. "I've never done that in college, it's definitely a blessing to be in that position and have that opportunity, but it's something I can also build on and see how far I can take it."

Thomas has largely deflected any talk about reaching the franchise rookie marks, preferring instead to talk about the day-to-day process of getting better.

Hard work has now put Thomas in striking distance of some big marks.
