New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas isn’t shy about voicing his opinions, and that extends to the future of quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Bridgewater will become an unrestricted free agent on March 13, but Thomas is adamant in his hopes of playing with the quarterback for years to come. He spoke with Larry Holder of the Athletic on the issue: “We want him here. I know I want him here. We’re building this culture in this locker room that he fits right into what we’re doing.”
Thomas clearly has no illusions concerning Bridgewater’s fit in the locker room. “For (Bridgewater), starting in the right system with the right coaches and supporting staff helps any quarterback,” the 2018 AP All-Pro wide receiver explained. “Even Drew. There are some quarterbacks where you might not even know their names, but they become the starter, unfortunately. I think he gets that.” ...
