The Eagles didn't have much of a choice really. This is a terrible year to find a qb in the draft and the free agent market isn't much better. Honestly, Vick would've been the best qb available and that says alot. Makes perfect sense to keep him for one more year and replace him next year when the market is stronger.

Alex Smith ran a very similar offense in college. I think he would do better than Vick.
