With six games remaining in the regular season for most of the contenders for six playoff spots in the NFC, it’s time to take a quick peek at what’s to come between now and New Year’s Eve.

Who’s going to get in? Who’s going to be left out? And who has the easiest road to the postseason with nine teams sitting 5-5 or better?

Let’s begin, of course, by looking at the NFC South race, where the New Orleans Saints are tied for the division lead and trying to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2000.

New Orleans (6-4): Remaining (at Atlanta, San Francisco, at Dallas, Washington, at N.Y. Giants, Carolina).
