if giants vs pats in super bowl this is good news.
if packers vs pats this is terrible.

Mike Carey is so bad that one can argue he is paid to fix games.

99 yrd penalty on the patriots give opposing team the ball on the one first and goal.

carey is a good guy but man he tends to throw the holding flag at the right times.

although mike carey never ref'ed the game. the pats colts game was probably the worst called game i have seen. i have never seen a CB beat a WR on a streak route be 3 yards ahead of WR make the int in the endzone and get flagged for pass interference when the wr made contact first no head turned while the CB had head turned and made the catch. they wanted the colts to win bad.


lord for everything that is holy do not give the superbowl to the packers if they are in it. brett farve madden media lovefest will be worse than dallas winning 30 superbowls.

the crew from the pats colts game are the worst.

I always thought he did a good job....I think many people get upset at him and his crew, because they call a tight game. When it comes to the secondary I don't think they let the players get away with much. I am positive that him and his crew can not do any worse then the officiating that went on for the Colts and Chargers game.

Well it's all in the eye of the beholder of course. He graded out as the best head ref, and thus got to work the Super Bowl.

He's probably one of the best NFL referees out there, but at times he can really slow the pace of the game trying too hard to make sure everything is in order.

grading out just means he saw something , but you can call something every down, but when you call insignificant calls at significant times, you change the outcome or spread.
