One of the most underrated rivalries in the NFL is between the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons.

Since entering the league just one year of each other (Atlanta in 1966 and New Orleans in 1967), the fan bases have more than a dislike for one another but a hatred for one another.

And while early on in their existence, the franchises were mainly bottom-feeders in the NFL, Now, the Saints and Falcons are relevant and major league contenders to not only be playoff teams but Super Bowl contenders.

In their last 10 meetings, the series is tied at 5 with six games decided by six points or less.

Today’s game has an interesting twist as the Falcons are a physically beat-up team.

The Saints won’t have linebacker Manti Te’o and defensive tackle Tyeler Davison, but the Falcons won’t have starting middle linebacker Debo Jones, strong safety Keanu Neal, offensive guard Andy Levitre and halfback Devonta Freeman.
