I just heard that Mike Karney will be on soon to talk about the Saints on Sirius radio. I am not good at recaps so hopefully someone who is will catch it.

He's on...just played a Jim Henerson play by play of one of his tds...

Karney says that Payton said the flats were allways open and they(Cowboys) didn't respect that....

Karney said they knew everyting about the Cowboys and what they did...their fronts, routes, coverages, everything that the Boys were going to do....Payton told them.

Everytime the Saints saw a cover 2 defense...Drew was putting the ball downfield...

Karney says every Fri is goaline practice & he usually catches 3 or 4 tds....

"Every week someone has to step up and make a play....and that's the type of team we have...."

Difference between this team & last years team in the locker room...."character...we have guys who want to be here. Guys who bring their lunch pail to work everyday..."

How do you get ready for the Redskins: "We know we can clinch with that win...." He sounds very focused on the Redskins...."this game has a lot for us at stake. They split with Dallas, so we have to go in with the mindset of our best foot forward"

That's it...he sounds very focused on getting the win against the Skins...

They asked how he got his good hands. He said when he was 8 years old his Dad would watch MNF and he would be across the room in the family room and his dad would throw him a nerf football for 3 hours straight and he would try and catch it while staying in bounds (on the carpet off the tile) and he had a great incentive not to miss because if he missed it would hit the wall that had pictures on it and it would make his mom really mad. That how you get good hands for the NFL.

Cute story.

They do not sound like they will fall into a "trap game". They know what this next game means and I have a good feeling about it.

I missed the very beginning of that...thanks for the recap!
