MT would need to take a cut on that 2024 guaranteed bonus for us to keep him. To do that, he would probably want more money this year that we could maybe package as incentives.

The CBA doesn’t allow teams to increase a player’s salary for 12 months following a renegotiation, I don’t know if that would apply to adding incentives to his deal for 2023. He is only due $2m in 2023, I’m sure he would want the opportunity for more.

Dalton has already accepted that at this point in his career he's a veteran backup. He signed on to be QB2, but was forced into starting. I think JW is released and Dalton is retained as a veteran backup.
