Mike Thomas Injury Update. Rapoport: he may need a week or two to finally play(Mod edit) (1 Viewer)

If you recall, Payton and co. called, emailed, texted…Thomas on a number if occasions, unless you conveniently forgot that. The issue Payton and co. had, was the fact Thomas was essentially off the grid where he was unreachable. Unless the Saints were willing to send an entourage of investigators down to Miami to look for a grown man in the off season, what else would you suppose they could/should have done?

And for the record, when you as an employee have been out of work due to illness or injury, it is YOUR responsibility to report to your employer your status and when you are anticipating being released by your doctor to return to work. Employers have many issues to deal with, aside from just one employee’s situation.

We don't know the whole story. We only know what Duncan reported.

BINGO!

He will not be a Saint! He will be traded or will certainly not be back this year to finish as a Saint. He will be elsewhere. Or the Saints could really just let him remain a Saint until his contract is up. Then what team will sign him after his injury and having not played for 4 plus years?

Your imagination is something else. Still waiting for you to respond about that nonsense that you posted in the offseason, when you claimed "someone from WWL" said this was secretly all about money. On the same day that you claimed "someone from WWL" said that the Saints were interested in bringing in Philip Rivers. Hehehe. Good day.

I’d be OK with this if we hadn’t been told he was coming back right after the bye. Some of that involves clueless media, but Coach Johnson said something to that effect as well. We don’t need to be using the David Griffin theory of communication.
That’s what’s so frustrating

Just gotta hold out until he gets back on the field… if he starts practicing, looks good, and then gets back in the game, and is 80% of what he used to be… things will be fine.

If this injury drags on and on, and the situation hits a tipping point, it could go bad.

The key is getting him back and practicing with the offense again.

Well, this topic moved along pretty good after I posted just a few days ago.

Reading what Rapoport said I would think that's about right. He does need practice time. I don't think he's even caught a pass from Winston ever.

After Kamara's bad injury year a lot of Saints fans were ready to trade him and were against paying him big money. I don't think you are remembering how quickly the fan base turned on him while he was playing with a severe injury.

Yep. This is where the infamous "Kamara missed mark ingram so much that he forgot how to play football" idea came from. I mean it was obvious the dude was injured but this board wanted to cut him mid season.....lol.
