Gee Whiz... Guy knows how to get what he wants.

Mingo was getting cut according to the Browns beat writer that's on Mike and Mike right now so really I guess from the Browns perspective they won in this. Mingo had no chance to even be a pivotal situational rusher for the Browns and was fighting for a special teams spot.

Of their last 8 first round picks in the last 5 years only 3 is left on the team and they said last year first round pick CB Justin Gilbert is really fighting for a spot and may be cut.

Mingo is terrible.

They are hoping to catch lightening in a bottle with this trade. It's probably for almost nothing.

Not really getting the red thumbs here.

Maybe all the LSU homers could correct me and let me know how I should describe a top 10 pick with 2 career sacks/like 40 total tackles and who was about to get cut because he couldn't even contribute as a situational player or on special teams.

You think the Browns didn't think to try him as a rush backer in all there searching for a way for him to contribute?

I think the logic is, you trust the Pats over the Browns.

Maybe Mingo can never put it together. Maybe he struggled because Cleveland is a dumpster fire.

Now if he can't stick with the Pats, I'm sure everyone would agree that he's pretty much done. But if the Pats are willing to give a 5th round pick, then they must believe they can do something with him.

Anyone care to bet that Mingo will flourish with the Pats? I'm up for a good bet. And I'm betting he will flourish.
