I like your mock, a lot. I hope it goes down that way, especially in the first. The close we get to the draft the more I think we will end up with Ellis either by him falling or us trading up 2-3 spots to get him.

I'm not sold on Fred Davis in the 2nd, but we probably have more insight on the USC players this year than ever before since Orgeron was the scouting director for them that recruited this class. I don't think Okam lasts until the 6th, but he would be great value there. Ainge seems like he would be a guy Payton would try to get to compete with Palco.

I like your 1st round, but in that scenario I would prefer that the Saints trade up 2 spots to pick Dorsey; it could cost them a 3rd round pick, possibly with a 4th round pick also in return. I would then go CB, unless there is better value at OLB or FS -- if someone predicted to go in the 1st round in those positions fall. I can see the Saints targeting CB, OLB, FS, TE, and OL beyond the 1st round and possibly QB in the 6th or 7th round.

I love it. Wheatley has been moving up draft boards. Ainge would be a great project to work on. Sullivan could prove to be an excellent Center and could start if Goody doesn't get the job done. Ellis on our D line would make Grant and Smith 100X's better. Also Vilma would turn back into his rookie days. Davis would be an excellent target. He can really play. I think coach O could light a fire under Okam's belly and get his Fat *** moving.

A+

I would love that to happen. To be really honest, if that's the way it went down I would throw players and our 2nd rounder at Cincy so we could draft both of them.
Improbable but not impossible.
Grant Ellis Dorsey Smith
Fujita Vilma Morgan
Would that front seven be the best in football?

I can see drafting Dorsey or Ellis, but not both. What is more likely is to pick Dorsey or Ellis and then select another DT later in the draft; however, if the Saints trade their 3rd round pick, that would be much less likely. Also, what about the needs at CB, OLB, FS, TE, and OL (less so at OL this week)?

nice mock... if dorsey lasts till #8 though, i'd look to trade up (i think there's that much difference between him and ellis to warrant it)... the 2nd round pick depends on who's available from the saints' board, but it's barely possible that someone like connor falls... frome the 2nd on depends too much on other picks
