I have tried to search by specific date, and I can't seem to figure out how to get specific dates dating back to early in 2009.

If anybody could help, it would be much appreciated by me, and ultimately appreciated by you. I will be working on a little project.

As far as I know, you cannot search by specific dates using the search option. The closest option would be 6 months and older. What exactly are you looking for?

He was frozen 8 months ago, just thawed, and wants to catch up on what he missed.

I have tried this and it keeps saying this:

Please specify some words or valid user names to search on. There were no matches for those that you specified.

To recap, in Search Options, I am:

1. Skipping first section (Find Articles With)

2. Find Posts From: change to "A Year Ago" and the next drop down, "and newer"

3. Sort Results By: change to "Article Start date"

Doesn't seem to work. Is this what you were suggesting? I don't know how to go to the 8 month mark.

You have to put a search term in the box on the upper left, minimum three characters I believe, or a username in the upper right box. Try to think of a key word in the title of a thread or body of a post.

I'm sorry. None of these suggestions are working. Maybe I'm just slow.

Is there anyone who can spell this out to me (aka show me an example?).

It sounds like what you're wanting to do is gonna be very difficult to achieve.

This might get you started, but it's still going to take you a LOT of time sorting through what you're looking for.



I put "Saints" in as the search term, and told it to search thread titles only, but that can be changed to whatever you like as long as it's a noun or something, not "the" "a" "and" or somesuch.

Oh, and if you only want to search this forum, leaving out all of the other child-boards, just uncheck the box at the bottom right corner.
