As a casual soccer fan, certainly not as knowledgeable as many in this forum, I have come to the conclusion that Mo Saleh is pretty dang good at the soccer thing.

How good? Quite possibly the greatest Egyptian athlete going all the way back to pharaoh/pyramid times.

I’m not going to research that. But it’s true.

yes his reputation precedes him so defenders are always quite weary of him making it that much easier for him as half the battle is already tilted to his side.

It is a team sport and the attention he commands means others are usually open, so no use passing to him if he bracketed by 2-3 defenders. But Liverpool does well to put him wide so as not to get bracketed as much and allow him space.

Messi’s not better than Salah this season. Mo has been more than just a scorer and plays with his head up and finds his teammates. He is enthusiastic about gegenpresse. He has become a complete player.
