Jim Mora will take over as head coach of the Seahawks in 2009 after Mike Holmgren retires, according to multiple reports.
The team will hold a news conference Wednesday at noon to announce the move. Holmgren has said he plans to retire after the 2008 season.
Foxsports.com first reported the deal Tuesday night.
ESPN.com reported that Mora and the team reached a five-year extension that includes the 2008 season, when he will remain an assistant head coach in charge of defensive backs. He will then take over as head coach starting in 2009 with four years remaining on his contract. Full Story – Post-Intelligencerhttp://seattlepi.nwsource.com/football/350184_hawk06.html
