Morstead's Recovery: 3 months. He plans to be at full speed for OTA's. Saints management was aware of issue bf... http://fb.me/1QUs9FJj4
I know he's really been wanting to play in this game... probably why he put the surgery off until after the game

also... I wonder how he got hurt

Seems to be a lingering college injury.

From Jen Hale's FB page.
After Pro Bowl, #Saints @thomasmorstead headed for surgery on left knee w/Dr. Dan Cooper Jan 31 in Dallas. Problem dates back to college: calcium deposit in patellar tendon that's turning so hard, it's almost like bone. It must be removed.

It scared me to death. I saw that he was scheduled for surgery and thought "what happened" I wasn't watching the game.

Yeah, I crapped my pants when I saw he needed surgery. Thankfully it's not a big deal. Now I'm off to buy new pants.

“<S>@</S>ilanadavlin12: <S>@</S>JenHale504 ohh. I thought he got hurt in the pro bowl. I was concerned” nope: old condition! Had it for years
yeah... apparently it's an old condition that'll probably flair up from time to time... no alarm here
