Saints vs Niners 2001 was a fun one. Brooks 347 yards 2 TDs, Ricky Williams 121 yards, Willie Jackson 11 - 167 yards.

But lost 28-27.

Ricky fumbled and dropped a TD pass. This game may have been the true turning point of 2001.

Mines have to be the 2011 opening game against the Packers in Lambeau field. Our defense couldn’t stop a paper bag but Brees and the offense fought until the very last second and almost came back in spite of the god awful defense.

The Saints were probably the only team that could challenge them that night. And yet that sloppy as s Giants team beat them. But I doubt the Saints could've won the NFC Championship in Green Bay either, had that not happened.

I believe he described remembering big games was the same as past funerals.
This was the first Monday Night Football game for the Saints.
