For me I think it's being paparazzi, chasing celebs around, peeking over their privacy fences w/ cameras, etc. Pathetic.

I think being paparazzi would be fun. Celebrities don't have souls anyway.

The most pathetic job I can think of would be prison pedicurist.

I dont think any job is pathetic. Its more along the lines of the person doing the job that makes its pathetic.

I'm not sure. Someone may be a good person, but if they stick with a job where they have to go let Hugh Grant throw baked beans at them in front of his house, it's still pathetic.

I agree. What's sad is that there are so many people who view their own lives as pathetic in order that celebrity lives may become so entertaining.

Some years ago, the movie Runaway Bride was filmed near where I live. My ex-wife and a family friend were determined to go to the movie site to see Richard Gere and Julia Roberts. I didn't care, and so didn't go. They were so ecstatic when they got back that they had actually seen both. Completely lame.

Long story short, when we separated, they started seeing one another and are now married. She certainly has more in common with him than with me! She thought my interest in history was boring, and I found her fascination with celebrity lives to be vapid and superficial.
