Moving forward Loomis not involved with Pelicans (1 Viewer)

Based on what? Gayle is the main reason Tom purchased the team. Why would she give the team up?
Honestly, I think that’s a viable question. The Saints are the main attraction in New Orleans. The Pelicans can barely get anyone in the arena on a consistent basis. Add to that, the NBA has been eying a way to get a team back to Seattle.

They fill up the arena when the Pels win. Nobody wants to see them when they suck.

Not the pelicans . Our team has done a whole better then alot of teams over the years . It's just sucks we can never stay healthy. And even with a subpar team we were better then alot of teams in the east.

Maybe pelicans might be moving???

NO! It doesn’t mean that at all. Maybe it means the Saints are moving?

It doesn’t mean that either. It means the Pelicans intend to hire a new GM and they want to attract a quality candidate who won’t have to answer to a football guy. This is something that has held the Pels back in the past in getting top people to join the organization.

Think of it this way. What if Sean Payton had to run all his personnel decisions by Dell Demps before he could cut anyone. You think SP would remain at the Saints for long? This decision is a way of signaling to people interested in the job that the President of Basketball Operations at the Pelicans doesn’t have to answer to anyone except the owner.

It’s the first necessary step in getting a competitive Pelicans team back on the court, and if it had been done a couple of years ago, Anthony Davis might not be leaving.

This has nothing to do with the Saints and won’t impact the Saints at all.

Lakers aren’t getting the #1, #2 pick, or #3 pick

Or anything.

They destroyed the psyche of their roster and cleared all that cap space in the hubris that "we're the Lakers, all the best players will just show up." Which has happened exactly never -- ever since Kareem decided he had to live in L.A., they've believed it.

Sadly, almost all of this "attraction of free agents" was under the steady hand of the great Jerry West, and since he's gone....the organization has tanked.

Until they sort out who's in charge (Buss? Magic? LeBron? It's certainly not Pelinka or Walton), they'll be Knicks West for the indefinite future.

She’s separating the position from football so she can hire the strongest GM possible

Lol Dell's trolling, klutch's arrogance, Lebron's ego and the amateur behavior of magic Johnson destroyed the lakers. Dell's legacy isn't losing Davis.... It's destroying the lakers and maybe the Celtics too

Glad that Demps and Loomis will be far away from this team. It was laughable with the former scenario
