T. O. IS B.S.

1. "That's my teammate, that's my QB" Ask Steve Mariucci and Donovan McNabb what a fair-weather friend T.O. is. To imply that he wouldn't turn on a teammate is ridiculous.

2. HE is actually criticizing Romo in a not-so subtle way. He assumes that Romo will get the blame from the media for losing the game. So he is chastising them, "that's wrong, he's my teammate."
"We lost as a team" is a phrase that is usually employed to deflect criticism when a player has screwed up and lost a game that his team had in the bag. T. O. seems to jump the gun and put Romo in this role before anyone in the media has. Kind of like, "I'll do the right thing and share the blame even though we all know it was Tony's fault we lost." Subtle, but the implication is clear.

Here's a tin foil hat thought for you:

What if T.O. bought Romo the vacation purposely in order to set this scenario up? He had to have known that star-QB heading to Mexico with "cursed girlfriend" a week before they are to break their 11 year long playoff drought would raise some eyebrows. If Tony goes and plays poorly...all blame on Tony. If Tony goes and plays well...it was T.O.'s gift that relaxed him enough to play well.

Either way T.O. gets a presser.

am I crazy? thoughts?
