Some weeks I have to stew over whom to fling into the No. 1 slot on the MVP Meter, but not this time. No, it's not really close. And that's not meant as a slight against Adrian Peterson, who has been nearly flawless for the 2-0 Vikings thus far.

Drew Brees is making it easy on me as he toys with defenses, and he is firmly entrenched at the top of the board following Week Two.
