My 2021 favorite draft prospects likely to be available for the Saints (1 Viewer)

Just a few Speed rusher & linebacker observations

Best edge Speed rushers

Jalean Phillips
Azeez Ojulari
Joshua Kaindoh
Shaka Toney
Hamilcar Rasheed Jr.
Patrick Turner
Malcolm Koonce
Jordan Smith
Derek Barnes

Pure Middle linebackers

Zaven Collins
K.J. Britt

Linebacker hybrids

Joseph Ossai (MLB)
Jayson Oweh (OLB)
Shaka Toney (OLB)
Quincy Roche (MLB)
Malcolm Koonce (OLB)

Pure OLB

Michah Bolton
Jabrill Cox
Buddy Johnson
Chaz Surratt
Garrett Wallow

I'm warming up to the idea of taking Joseph Ossai or Oweh at linebacker if Zaven Collins is gone.

I really like Ossai at MLB.

I think think that both Penn state DEs have the athletic ability to play OLB.

Oweh is about the same size as Scott Fujita and had better speed and agility numbers than Demario Davis.

Buddy Johnson and Chaz Surratt rank right up there with Demario Davis in size, speed, and agility on the outside.

They would make for good depth behind Davis.

Johnson and Surratt even had a better shuttle and 3 cone.

Like I've been saying all along.

The draft is deep at corner and DE but more scarce at linebacker.

I only see two pure middle linebackers in the draft that can step in and start without having to ask guys to switch positions, though I'm pretty confident in Ossai.

I'm also confident in asking Toney and Oweh to play OLB. Given their testing numbers.

I just finished reading this thread. You really did your homework this year. Well done NOFALCON.

About a week of information to digest.

Also keep an eye on Joshua Kaindoh and Hamilcar Rasheed Jr. at Speed rusher.

I forgot to edit them into the post earlier but I fixed it.

Very underrated edge rushers.

I've seen you mention Janarius Robinson but his teammate Kaindoh might be even better or just as good. His height and length is outstanding and Hamilcar Rasheed had 14 sacks in 2019.

I look at Josh Kaindoh as being very similar athletically as Jalean Phillips.

Both long and fast and really good when they can extend their long arms.

Phillips should probably be gone mid-round 1 but Kaindoh who is very similar might be around in rd 3-4.

The main difference is that Phillips has the agility of a small linebacker with and unbelievable shuttle time and is slightly faster.

They are both 6'5 260 with Condor wingspans.
