Maybe so but that's the only way we keep him because if he isn't beating out Smith for a spot, he's not making the 53. Harty is our KR.

Sorry, Monday is out. LB Jackson def makes the cut. Probably DT Jackson too. We don’t need to sign another DT. I agree we may not need to carry a FB this year with Tay Tay and the other TEs.

I think LB DMarco Jackson ( 6’1, 233) has a good chance to make the 53, esp as a STer! He’s smart, athletic, tough, a good open field tackler n he’s fast ( 4.55 forty)!

For sure, Jackson has to make the team if we aren’t re-signing Kwon. We already know what we have in Elliss and Baun as reserve LBs.

Do you predict the end of the FB in the Saints offense? If so… I hope not. I like using the FB, and if an offense gets the right one, a FB can make a real impact.

I honestly think they might use Taysom Hill as a pseudo-TE/FB/RB/WR… and H-back.
At 6’2, 230… I’d like to see what Taysom can do.

According to DA, that’s gonna b the plan for TH this year. The big question is when will Taysom return?

Until then, his possible replacement at HB could be Juwan Johnson. He’s now in his 2nd year at TE after moving from WR. Still needs to get a lil bigger, stronger, more physical n work on his blocking tho. But he can run n catch. Our improved WR group is gonna open up the field more, n put more pressure on DBs. Should give Juwan more space to work in, n he should win more against LBs coming outta the backfield.

We’ll carry a FB on the gameday roster but sparingly play them only to block in obvious run formations like last year. In the versatile run formation plays, Taysom will get all snaps at FB and make plays out of the backfield like you mentioned.
