I have compiled a list of an all-time 53 man Saints roster. Bear in mind that I didn't include Hall of Fame players that joined the Saints well after their prime. (Such as Earl Campbell and Jim Taylor. Eric Allen is the exception to the rule because defenders were hard to choose.) I'm having fun compiling this list. I would welcome comments and other roster opinions. Also note that I'm going with a 3-4 defense in honor of the Saints being able to stop people with defense in the late 80's and early 90's. :hihi: I already know I'm going to get my "you forgot this player" and "this player doesn't belong here" type of comments. But I still welcome them anyway. I'm sure that similar posts have been occasionally made over the years, but I'd rather do this than make a mock draft or complain about the Saints going to London. I have a lot of off-season to be bored...

Deuce is the franchise leading rusher. You have to have him in there imo.

Edit: Just saw him.

I've been thinking. Is Bobby Hebert more worthy of being the number 3 QB on my list? Kilmer wasn't a star until after he left New Orleans if I remember correctly. (I'm only 28 and have been a Saint's fan since '88. Kilmer was a little before my time.)

Tony Galbreath is far and away the best fb in Saints history...
Henry Childs is the best TE ever...
Chuck Muncie should be on that list somewhere...

I had Ricky as RB # 4 originally, but someone suggested I should put Rueben Mayes instead. I don't know...you can't really go wrong between the two at 4th on the depth chart. Chuck Muncie could've made it at #4 too. I don't know...Ricky Williams on my practice squad? :hihi: Manning or Brees was my toughest choice as the starter for any position. I went with the star with less talent around him. Who knows what Manning could've done with the offense we have now.

I'd change the WR depth chart. I love Colston and think he could go down as the best Saints WR ever but there is no way that right now he should be placed above Eric Martin.

Also, where is Albert Connell?

Fred Thomas should be on there above a couple of those corners. these last couple of bad seasons aside, Fred Thomas is one of the top 3 CBs in Saints history
