My Computer Power Ratings (1 Viewer)

Thanks guys.. I will post a weekly update since there is interest.

Yes, it will be interesting to see how it flows going forward.

And yeah, Tampa and Carolina are way down there. Tampa is not a shock, but Carolina? That bad playoff game last year really killed them.

32. Tampa Bay 18.51 15.25 0-4-0 L 13-16,@WSH 31 +18.51

That made me lol..

Not necessarily (although it does have Detroit ranked higher than Buffalo) - there are other factors that go into the score besides how good an opponent is.

Sorry, can't divulge the details, as I hope for it to be used some day on a much bigger scale in college football, especially. I did describe somewhat how it works in the initial post.

Gotcha. If you can make money off of it, more power to you.

+rep and 5-star thread!

This is awesome, please keep updating weekly man! +rep :9:

Wow. Nice to see how ridiculously low the Giants SOS has been the first four (even five) weeks. Not saying they are overrated, but I'm fully confident we can whoop them.

just wait.. the Giants get to play the RAIDERS next week... their strength of schedule is going to be WORSE next week!

Please do. Thanks bro. The only thing that looks a bit off to me would be the Ravens at 11 or the Broncos at 2, but it is still a pretty cool way of ranking.

Yeap, I like it too, very good job!

It also shows you that ESPN & others don't just take the facts, their picks have more to do with TV ratings & other cosmetic reasons over true performance.

Keep up the good work!

Good stuff. Good as any I've seen, including Aikman's.

Lately I've been thinking the NFL should use a formula similar to yours to
determine playoff berths. It really sucks for an 11-5 team to sit home and
watch while a 9-7 team gets whacked in the 1st round. In my scenario,
when you win, you get all the points from the teams you beat, and all the
teams they beat. When you lose, you get nothing but a few points for scoring
and defense. My scenario would make scoring and defense very important, so
there wouldn't be so many "meaningless games", and boring games where the
starters are "rested".
