I think the Raiders will trade the 1st overall pick to ATL for Michael Vick -- Am I crazy?

But before you say yep he's crazy consider this -- ATL new coaching staff, Back-up Matt Schaub (restricted Free-agent) that may feel is a better QB than Vick, & Al Davis nack for aquirring big names.

Whatcha think?

I think the Raiders don't have the cap room and the Falcons don't want to take the cap hit. Michael Vick will not play for any team in the NFL besides the Falcons unless he renegotiates his contract.

maybe a randy moss for michael vick trade... randy moss wants out and the falcons have no receivers that can catch

Two reasons it won't happen- Brady Quinn & Jamarcus Russell.

I alos think this will happen but will gain momentum when the Raiders hire Mora as coach

Cloudy...

I think your "crystal ball" must be a little cloudy.

Sadly, Vick isn't worth a #1 anymore. Raiders They have their pick of Quinn, Russell, or Smith. If they trade the pick, they could get a heck of a lot more than Vick for it. If they want Vick, considering where his stock is at, I can't see him being more than a middle 2nd rounder, or possibly a 3rd.

Here in the Bay Area radio they are saying the current price for Moss is so low, that its not even worth trading him. When pressed to what that meant, they said around a 2nd or 3rd.

I could see this happening, but with the raiders somehow keeping that pick for, let's say, Adrian Peterson? That'd be an interesting team to watch.

I think you need some Windex for your crystal ball. Why would they pay top dollar for a mediocre QB when they can take a chance on Quinn or Russell with the #1 pick?!

Despite all the lip service Blank gave to Petrino having the final say on Michael Vick, Vick will stay and be the Falcons starting QBs. Blank loves Vick or to put it better Blank loves the attention and jersey sales Vick brings the Falcons. Take Vick off the Falcons and you have.....not a single "name" player (well Warrick Dunn's a minor "name"). Blank isn't going to let Petrino kill/trade his golden goose no matter what he says. Blank has said that he wanted to hire a new HC to design a Offense around Vick's "unique" abilities. Apparently that's Petrino.

Things aren't all sunshine and roses over in Falconland -

1. Falcon fans are discovering that Blank's a meddling owner that knows little about how to run a successful franchise.

2. Vick is a coach and receiver killer.

3. The cupboard is bare. Lots of overrated and underachieving players with little good young talent coming up. Their OL and WR are a disaster.

You guys who are saying "Why would they take a mediocre QB like Vick when they can choose between Russell and Quin?" are missing the point.

It's the Raiders! They never do what makes sense. That's why they're the Raiders. So, all things considered, it's completely plausible.
