It's hard to write this so early in the season, but for me this feeling I have right now is a positive for my psyche. The first thing that came to mind when I saw how inept our Drew-less offense was is that I needed to change my expectations for the season. Am I disappointed in what should have been a championship season may now be over? I'm devastated.

But I simply will not allow myself to believe that we now have the same chance to win the remaining games that we had before. Thus, I will accept the losses that come along much easier and will not be as broken or upset by the poor offensive performances that are sure to be ahead of us.

I see no shame in losing games when our key leader on offense is on the bench healing. I can't go into the rest of our season believing that a 13-14 win season is likely or even possible. Do yourself a favor and lower your expectations for the season. We all knew before the season that the health of Drew Brees was the one setback we probably couldn't overcome, Don't allow yourself to get upset by believing his absence shouldn't matter. You will thank me later... probably around the end of the Seahawks game. :mecry:

i would prefer to tank because honestly if hes done this team wont get anywhere and a chance at a high draft pick is tempting. theres no reason to scrap our way into 6 or 7 wins and lose out on a great player as well

Maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised by how the team picks up the slack without Drew this year. But it's just best not to expect that to happen.
