rd 1) TRADE We trade to a team around the 20th pick they give us their 20th pick and a first round next year
rd 1) DAN CONNERS
This kid is an absolute beast.
rd 2) E Calais Campbell, Miami This tall, athletic defender developed nicely over the 2007 season. Campbell has the package necessary to rank with the blue-chip prospects.
rd 3
CB Jack Ikegwuonu, Wisconsin
Athletic junior corner had an inconsistent 2007 season. He would have benefited from further development, but could still be a top-50 selection in April.
rd 4
DT Pat Sims, Auburn
This wide-bodied tackle can stack the middle and has shown the explosiveness necessary to make plays in the backfield. He was only a one year starter for the Tigers, which leaves questions about his level of development
rd 5
OG Branden Albert, Virginia
This developing guard had an outstanding 2007 season, but he needs further developemnt to be ready to handle NFL power rushers. Albert must also work on his drive-blocking skills.
rd 6
LB Geno Hayes , Florida StateFast junior linebacker could be the next Seminole underclassmen to surprise early in his NFL career
rd 7
SS DaJuan Morgan, North Carolina State
This instinctive junior safety had a breakout 2007 season and decided to join the NFL underclassmen group. He continued a strong defensive back tradition at N.C. State.

Free Agent pickups
cb Randall Gay
OG Alan Faneca

I think you got 50/50 of being right on one pick. Geno Hayes sounds plausible.

I personally like the idea of trading down to get Conner. As more and more of these "blue chip" defenders stay for their senior year, the top 10 defensive talent pool continues to dwindle.

More realistic than anything I have seen here... But they will get a WR in free agency.

I've seen Pat Sims being talked about as a potential 1st rounder. I highly doubt he'll be there in round 4 and if he is, there will be a very good reason for passing on him

Dan Conner is too stiff in the hips and will be an average LB in the nfl, he will go between 22 and 32.

This is not realistic. Campbell is a first rounder who could move up into the top 10 or 15 with a strong combine and personal day. Jack Ikegwuonu is likely to go in the second round or maybe early third. Pat Sims is a second rounder but is another guy who might sneak up into the late first with a strong showing.

I agree with this somewhat. He is not fluid and does play stiff. I do not know if he will only be an average player but I do not think he's an elite prospect. I think his value is as a mid to late first/early second rounder.
