1st round - Sheldon Richardson-DT/DE (Missouri)
2nd round - Matt Elam-SS (Florida)
3rd round - Brandon Jenkins-OLB (FSU)
4th round - Quinton Patton-WR (LA Tech)
5th round - David Quessenberry-OT (SJSU)
6th round - Marquise Goodwin-WR (UTexas)
7th round - Mario Benavides-C (Louisville)

Tried to be as realistic as possible, obviously some of these may be off the board where I have them placed. Who knows when someone will pick a player? I used CBSsports.com to see what position the players are expected to go and I tried to stay within reason (a few picks). The first two picks I especially love. You want to get physical? These are your guys! I couldn't believe Elam is projected to go so late, but I hope he does fall to us! I think if we get our second rounder back, we will be the first of the 7-9 teams to pick (in the 2nd round, or all even rounds). I'm trying to figure out where/who to put at OLB in here, since I know we need a pass rusher at that spot.

Patton would give us a very dependable WR and Goodwin could be our burner. Is a 4.26 40 fast enough for you? On top of that he almost never drops a pass thrown his way! We'd be lucky if he's there in the 5th or 6th round. He could also take some workload off Sproles and keep his legs fresh.

elam is going higher and the cb wilson didn't look good at all at the senior bowl practices. He might fall.

We need an OLB or NT at #1 I like Richardson but he can't play either.

Yeah, I only put Richardson there because Elliah said he would be his 1st choice should we go 3-4 gap 1. Go read the breakdown of his gap 1 vs gap 2, it made a lot of sense to me. Hopefully we go gap 1.

I agree on Elam, I think he will actually be off the board in round 1, I don't know why CBS has him going late. I subbed in Brandon Jenkins for Wilson. I'd be more than happy with the above draft!

Its a good read but his character issues are concerning especailly with alot of money being given to him. Add to that I generally don't like 300 lb defensive tackles who are drafted in the 1st round since the incentive to work hard is not there and the incentive to keep eating will be in a city like nola.

But more than that, in the first round you need guys who either score TDs or stop TDs, that's pass rushers or guys who shut down the wrs and get ints. This means not 3-4 DEs who just occupy blocks. Also risky to get the NT for the same reason.

I love several of the OLB picks and wouldn't mind if we grabbed an OT if one fell or if we traded back. We would solidify the OL for a half decade and could make due with Marcel Jones or Charles Brown at RT, unless we unearth another gem later.

I do like the Jenkins, Patton picks very much. I hope Patton lasts that long.
I wouldn't mind Chris Faulk if he falls to the 5th. Some have him in the 4th but for us it wouldn't be good value unless the 5th. He would be a stud but might have to sit 1 year.

i dont like the richardson pick and the 2 wideouts you picked, outside of that i loved the pick.

regarding richardson i dont see a real spot for him in a 3 man front and we have the starters set for the end spots with jordan and hicks.

neither of the receivers is a true deep threat and were set at posession receiver. Goodwin has the speed but not the size and stuff and patton is someone we flatout dont need

You better start liking 300 lbs dts regardless of what they eat because larger online players will eat them..

He he...good draft but thanks to Cali ivd kind of cooled on richardson

Tom Johnon n Tyrunn Walker especially are of equal size so we could possibly pass on him.

If push came to shove Id trade back n pick up Ansah.....or Ogletree n get us more picks.

Ogletree would be very familiar with Granthams D.

By the way..seems to b some interest in Crennel so 2gapping is a possibility. Well need a NT.

Phillip Thomas is a bigger Matt Elam n could possibly b where u picked.

Goodwin has moved up to a 3rd rounder maybe...but theres also the WR from Georgia tht may be there.

Id love to have patton but he may have moved up too.

Still like it

I think Richardson is an absolute STUD. I just don't like him at 5-tech. I think he's a 3-tech in the NFL.

We dont have a 2nd round draft pick. Also i think we will stick to just 1 WR in the draft.
I don't mind people assuming we'll get our 2nd back, even though I have doubts, but when they do say we'll get our 2nd back I think they should take away some picks in the later rounds. As speculative as it is to get our 2nd back, it has been speculated that if we do get our second back that Goodell would just take away later round picks. I think we'd lose 5th and 7th round picks if we got our 2nd back. Goodell doesn't seem like the kind of guy to just give us back our 2nd round pick and be done with it. If we get back our 2nd round pick, I really doubt we'd keep the rest of the ones we have.
