1. Shanahan ate Allen’s lunch with his playcalling
2. Going for early two point conversion was a bad call but didn’t determine outcome. The entire strategy of both teams would have been different had Saints kicked conversion. Can’t assume everything after that happens exactly like it did.
3. Injured LBs made big difference. Robertson played his butt off but was a step slow on a lot of plays.
4. hard to complain about refs when your defense plays so bad but every close call against Saints D is called while not called against opponents. Sanders threw Williams to ground on 75 yard TD with no call while Michael Thomas one hand pushes off on a cut which every TE does on every pass and gets Off PI.
5. Very stupid going for 4th and 18 with fake punt. That being said, what kind of rule allows gunner to be mugged all the way down the field then tackled as ball arrives. Does anyone think the Saints wouldn’t have been called for D holding regardless of rule.
6. Why can’t Saint fans ever be able to be happy when we score with very little time left instead of unanimously reacting with “They scores too early.” Saints in Payton era could have 3 more Super Bowl appearances if they knew how to coach a D to close out a game.
7. Drew has career NFL leading 50 4th quarter comebacks for wins and should have about 10-15 more but for his defense.
8. Saints better get 2 seed because they could easily lose in wild card round to whichever team gets the 6th seed.
