I've been thinking about this a lot and maybe, this makes sense.
Saints have not really fired anyone that we want fired yet right? This is my speculation:
1. The Saints are waiting to see where CSP goes and what compensation is given. This could determine who we would be able to draft and what coach is best to move forward and/or fire.
2. It could also be a tactic to keep CSP from taking staff that he wants to bring with him.
3. If we get high enough to draft a QB that we want leading the team, either Dennis Allen and/or Pete may be gone and we interview someone for that/those positions.
Could be nothing, but if I were management, that would be my thoughts. If it doesn't work out for a high draft pick, just keep things as is and work towards next year's draft.
