Its a mess up and one that probably want matter as much as if it were Bama vs Auburn or Clemson vs Notre Dame... Something the NCAA will have to fix though

Yeah, I don't know what the rule is in CFB, but whoever gets the ball after an inadvertent whistle should be awarded possession like it is in the NFL.
