Hurts also fumbled going into the endzone for an easy score, so it was even worse than the 31-3 scoring by OU.

Over the last 15 seasons, 902 times entering Saturday has a team been down by at least 25 points.

Only 1 team made the comeback to win.

That's how badly the odds were stacked against OU.

Illinois did it last week. They were down 28-3 against Michigan State and won. Were they seriously the only one in the last 15 years?

I remember another one was UCLA in their season opener at home against A&M in 2017. Down 44-10 in the 3rd and stormed back to win 45-44.

The 2014 Central Michigan team would also be on this list after nearly overcoming a 35 point deficit in the Bahamas bowl, had they gotten a 2 point conversion to complete the comeback win.

It's rare and yes the odds way against OU. But UCLA came back this year against WSU when they were down by 34 points.

Per ESPN though.

The effort was also the best against a CFP-ranked team in the playoff era. Since 2014, teams were a combined 0-162 when trailing a CFP-ranked team by 25 or more points. The 21-point halftime deficit Oklahoma overcame is the largest a team has overcome to beat an FBS team that entered the game 9-0 or better since NCAA classification began in 1937, according to ESPN Stats & Information research.

“Sic ‘em Jesus!” is really a Baylor cheer/chant thing??

Hard to even call OU’s win a comeback. After...

Haha. No. And that was the most cringeworthy thing I’ve ever heard at a game.

As others have mentioned examples, this stat is far from correct, don't know where you came up with this. Years ago wasnt auburn down 28-0 and came back to beat bama? I think during cam newton's heisman year
